Take on full-time staff or outsourcing?

If you have a business, do you prefer to take on full-time staff to do specific tasks or do you prefer outsourcing? Reason I ask is there are numerous employment benefits associated with full-time staff which are not always applicable when outsourcing to 3rd parties.

I always choose outsourcing if possible - this is the mobility of doing business for me
